Summary: The darkness follows everyone during the day. They try to cross over into the light and consume their lighter counterparts. No one seems to notice them as they grab at the bottom of their shoes. They reach through the shadows, desperately, demanding a way out from the darkness.

They've begun to sense it to, that nightfall was near. The artificial sun was dying and those sent to repair it haven't returned. The journey was supposed to be completed, the repair work done. Yet the day continues to dim, and the darkness continues to grow stronger.

Summary: The universe was dying.
It was long after Earth had been destroyed by the sun and the old Solar System with it. So long after that humans had spread even to the farther corners of space. We had accomplished all this, and yet no scientist could explain it in a way that the human population could accept. The stars were going out. There were no supernovas, black holes, dwarf stars; quasars. They were simply dying like light bulbs, my grandfather always said. There was no rational explanation.

Summary: “You know how when you were a kid in the toy aisle, you would pick a toy up off the shelf, look at it, probably test it out (Depending on what store you were in.), decide it wasn’t the one you wanted and then trade it out for one that seemed better? Summary: This is a very graphic story with a husband named Kiseki and a wife who is the reader. The night starts off a just a quiet night with steak and dishes. Then turns into a night with Kiseki getting to home base with the reader.
