Description: Write a one-shot, or insert into a chaptered fic if you like, about two or more people carving a pumpkin for Halloween. It must take place on Halloween afternoon, after a mad dash to the nearest place to buy a pumpkin, wherein they are hard pressed to get it done, get their costumes ready and prepare to either trick-or-treat (no matter what age) or stay home and hand out candy.

At least one character must be dressed as a pirate, with a motion-sensitive talking parrot attached to their shoulder.

It must contain the following snatches of dialogue:
"Hey, watch where you're jabbing that thing!"

"No, (insert character name here). You cannot plunder my booty, pillage my village, or otherwise punnily molest me!"
