I have just made a little more progress on PI! Slowly but surely it's coming along. Hopefully I'll have an update for you all shortly after I graduate. :) Speaking of graduation, I have only two weeks, then finals week, and then I'm done with school! Woo!
Also, if you read the announcements, then you're aware that I was selected as a mod! I've started helping out with the queue, so if you've received any correspondence from me, don't hesitate to ask questions! I'm still new, so please go easy, but I'm eager to help in any way I can. :)
ElvenTrinity made new banners as a congrats for the feature last month! Since Horoscope is over now, I'll go ahead and put these here. They are beautiful! Thanks so much. :D
 
-About Me-
My username is perfect-to-stay. It's taken from one of my favorite songs, "Perfect to Stay," by one of my absolute favorite bands, Collective Soul. It's most definitely worth a listen. I'm a member of a lot of different sites, and I typically choose a different username for each one. Back when I was on Quizilla, my username was laughingwithbrokeneyes (from the song "When the Stars Go Blue"), and I share that here because people still occasionally follow me over from Quizilla.
I'm a moderator on Luna, so if you have any questions whatsoever relating to the site or to the English language in general, don't hesitate to contact me! (Do, however, keep in mind that I was only brought on May 16th, 2013, so I'm still a newbie.)
Some basic info: I'm twenty-two years old and a senior in college. I'm majoring in English with a creative writing emphasis and a focus on fiction, and I'm minoring in Japanese.
Personality-wise, I am headstrong, prideful, and irritatingly stubborn. I am also introverted and a little bit shy. No person can be described in just one word, but there are some words that have been repeatedly applied to me: My high school classmates would tell you that I'm "smart," my mother calls me a "homebody," my father refers to me as "cerebral," my college classmates tend to think of me as "nice," my bosses past and present have told me I'm "responsible," and my brother says that I'm "earnest." I am all of these things and none of these things and a million other things at any given time, just like anybody else.
Stories are part of me, as much as my heart or my brain or my left leg. I may not have always written them down, but I have always told them, to myself, to the empty air, to my family, to my teachers, to my friends, and with the help of the internet, to people I don't even know. I firmly believe that even if I decided to never write another word, the stories would never stop coming. So I write them down, whether it's my personal story into my journals or my imagined stories onto this computer.
I love dogs. I love chocolate and forests and sky blue. I love freshly-dried laundry and books and meat and the internet. I love my friends and video games. I love my family. I love anime and music and wearing girly undergarments beneath my decidedly less girly clothing. I love the moon and driving stick-shift and rain. I love sunshine, too.
I write and post both fanfiction and original stories here on Luna. As of now, I don't post my work to any other sites. My list of fandoms is long and constantly expanding, so if you're truly that interested in knowing what they all are, you can message me. (I happen to have a list, 'cause I'm a nerd like that.)

I beta based on individual stories. That means that even if I've already agreed to beta for you, each of your stories counts as a separate project, and I may not agree to read all of them.
If you're looking for a beta reader who will gush over your story, tell you it's perfect, and then send you on your way, I'm not that beta. ^_^ I am not afraid to point out mistakes or changes that may be needed. That said, I swear I don't bite, and I'll never rip at your story without reason. I hope that we can become a team, working to make your story the best it can be!
When it comes to spelling, grammar, and punctuation, I've got you covered. I'm extremely nitpicky and few mistakes escape me. ^_^
As for other elements, I can help you keep canon characters in character, develop your OCs, work on your plot, smooth out any inconsistencies, and sort out any specific concerns you might have. I can also help you flesh out any ideas you have (including brainstorming), and I can offer you my personal opinion and impression of any element of your story or of your story as a whole. You only need ask.
In most cases, I am more familiar with an anime than the manga it comes from, so double-check that with me if you ask me to beta your story.
If you have any questions, don't be afraid to contact me! I can even do a sample beta-read for you if you're not quite sure I'm what you're looking for. ;)
Will not read: OOC is really hard for me to ignore, so if you are writing OOC characters on purpose, and don't wish to fix that, then please don't ask me to beta your story. I also won't beta-read any explicit sexual activity at this time. That includes lemons, detailed rape scenes, etc. (Though I will beta-read limes.) I will not read incest. I don't read any real-person fiction. Other things go on a case-by-case basis, so if in doubt, ask me!
