About my services: Hello all! Alastair here. First off, I’ll give you a little bit of background info to get my credentials going.
I am an English major and have just finished my first year of college. I have taken the AP English Language and AP English Literature exams and have received 4s (out of 5) on both. I received a score of 710 (out of 800) on my SAT English Literature subject test, 680 in the Writing portion of my SAT (out of 800), and a score of 33 (out of 36) on the English portion of my ACT. And of course, I'm a mod, if that says anything.
I can beta reasonably well in regards to plot and in-characterness) for all of the above listed fandoms, though the fandoms I’ve written/watched/read the most, and am credibly comfortable with are Prince of Tennis, Kingdom Hearts, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, The Chronicles of Narnia, and the Twilight series.
I’m the type of beta who’ll really pick through each and every sentence for grammar/spelling/punctuation. If I’m not sure of something, I’ll look it up. If you think a correction I’ve made is questionable, I’d be happy to talk it over with you about it; in no way are my beta skills infallible.
In the past, I’ve beta’d for many people of all ages, and some of the experiences have been rather… unpleasant. All I ask for is the due courtesy and respect for my services, and we’ll get along swimmingly.
