Update as of August 17th, 2010:

No, I haven't died. And no, I haven't given up writing. I've actually got quite a few works in the making, but most of them are either one-shots that have turned into chaptered fictions, or they are very long chaptered fictions.

I have a personal dilemma when it comes to my writing style. For one, I've been told that my writing reminds one of what you would read in the eras of Jane Austen and Charles Dickinson. I see how that could be a compliment, but I didn't really take it as one. It more or less made me think that either 1, I'm overly descriptive or 2, my writing easily looses the reader and/or their interest. I'm trying to work on lighting that up a bit, you see. That and I haven't found a beta reader.

If you know of any that are willing put up with insistent descriptions, please let me know.

For the second part of my dilemma, I can never start off a work/fiction with the beginning. I always start somewhere in the middle and work my way around. Meaning, I start with the middle, continue through to the ending and finish with the beginning. I've realized that when I begin with a beginning, that beginning gets butchered with changes and somewhere along the way, I forget original plot idea, despite my written outline.

Obviously, it wouldn't be a good idea to post something that doesn't start off with a beginning, correct?

I'm going to try and finish these and NOT start any new works. I've got too many as it is and I shouldn't keep my Wifey, Renohotness, waiting much longer.
