So, another year has passed! Can you believe it? A decade already! Hope you all had wonderful holidays and that you have wonderful memories of ‘09 to look back on!

But I’m starting to feel old~ D: I’ll be 18 on the 9th! And 17 was such a good age, too... Can’t my 18th wait another year? ;A;

ANYWAY. I’ve been both super lazy and super busy lately. It’s a very lethal combo that results in having lots to do but getting next to nothing done.

I validate around once a week, and each time there’s 75+ to do... And it kind of sucks when everybody makes the exact same mistakes over and over again and don’t ask for help, or they resubmit a chapter without fixing anything, or submit a bunch at one time, or- Yeah. It’s pretty annoying at times. D: Out of all the chapters I’ve rejected, only two people have ever emailed me asking for help, so kudos to them~ :D

The reason I haven’t been writing much or submitting anything is not only because I participatedin NaNo this year (which I failed -.-) but also because the flash drive I stored my fanfiction on went Kablooey, along with it most of my fanfiction. All of the Death Note stuff I was working on (the Jack the Ripper fic, gifts for friends, two epicly long Matt one-shots...) was lost along with a bunch of other stuff. I was able to salvage some of it because I had several printed out to edit/work on in school, plus several I had emailed to myself for the same reason, but most of my recent and good stuff was gone forever. D: It was very discouraging, and I was in a slump because of it. It’s depressing to think about. ;A; But~ I’m trying my best to get back into the swing of things, and hopefully I’ll have something to post in the near future!

...including, of course, a Mello fic I’m writing for Cristen. ♥ It was meant to be for her birthday, but that didn’t work out... So I tried making it a joint birthday/Christmas fic! ...which also didn’t work out... And now it’s just a get-it-finished-very-soon-without-sacrificing-too-much-quality-and-hope-Cristen-doesn’t-pelt-me-with-sparkly-apples-which-she-says-she-won’t-do-because-she’ll-be-happy-no-matter-when-I-finish-it-but-you-never-know-sly-Sparkly-ones-like-her-because-she’s-probably-secretly-some-sort-of-Mello-banging-chocolate-maiden-vigilante-superhero-of-asploding-mafia-DOOM-or-something-because-those-exist-you-know fic.
Phew. That was long.

But anyway, besides short drabbles and stuff I write in the meantime, my next big submission will be Cristen’s fic~.
Then, I’ll probably write some stuff for my other friends here at Luna. C:

Oh, oh! And a Hetalia fic... because I’m really loving that right now. :D I mean, I’m not much of a yaoi or shounen-ai fan, and this series pretty much is just gratuitous yaoi and shounen-ai abound, but... somehow, I’m addicted, and it won’t leave my head. I currently have all the episodes, scanlations, drama CDs, music, and games downloaded, plus at least 2GB of AMVs and MADs from Youtube and Nico Nico Douga. C: (Which I won’t lose to stupid malfunctioning flash drives, because I got an external harddrive for Christmas. Take THAT technology.)

A-AND I LOVE GERMANY MOST, BUT ROMANO AND ENGLAND AND PRUSSIA AND GREECE AND JAPAN AND ANCIENT ROME AND AMERICA AND CANADA AND... @_@ Okay, I need to get this out of my system before I continue:

C: Sometimes I forget to reply (IT’S TAKADA’S FAULT) but all you have to do is give me a poke and my mind will jump back on track without too many casualties. And I might start getting on MSN again, too, so... But I’sa scared of that for silly reasons but I MUST OVERCOME MY FEAR FOR GREAT JUSTICE.

Matt/reader - from part 1 of an intended three-shot of epic length - the below is the opening of the first part :)

At the best of times, you were normally mediocre at the task at hand. Today, though - today was different. Somewhere in the heavens, some divine being must have kindly decided to look upon you with good favor and had you not been so engrossed in your current activity, you would have briefly wondered if there existed a deity for this specific endeavor. As it was, though, you didn't have the time to consider such notions, because your alert focus was absolutely crucial and the tiniest slip up could ruin all of your precious work up to this point. After everything you had put into this, there was no way you were messing up now. Your efforts would not be in vain.

Carefully, you eyed up the playing field with a critical eye, mind whirling as you decided the best way to approach this. Then, after only a moment's deliberation, you prepared yourself, weapon of choice held tightly at your side. Slow, deep breaths; back straight, shoulders squared; eyes straight ahead, looking evenly at your target; you were ready. In a slow, purposeful movement, you raised your weapon slightly then waved it in a sharp flicking movement. It had begun.

Your were off in a whir of motion, all previous notions of composure thrown out the window as you swung your arm this way and that, each arc of your limb punctuated by a dull, echoing thud, pause, thud before you swung your arm again. The motions became a fast, calculated rhythm and with each passing moment you grew more and more tense as you anticipated the outcome of this match. It couldn't go on like this forever; sooner or later, someone would slip up, make one wrong move and it would all be over. You just hoped to whatever deity that was looking out for you in this that it wouldn't be you.

Then, suddenly, in a surely deciding move, your opponent dealt a low blow out of your range. In a last-ditch effort to save yourself from defeat, you arched your body to the side and prepared to counter. Everything seemed to slow, then; your heart beat wildly; all sound around you faded away and all you could hear was the loud ba-dum ba-dum ba-dum reverberating in your ears; all color grayed around your swift target. Your arm flew back in a sharp, hard movement and-

Just like that, the world around you came back full-force just as your hand and weapon slammed into warm, squishy padding and then almost simultaneously something hard from which you recoiled in pain. Then, with heartbreaking devastation, you watched the tennis ball on the screen fly past your Mii and out of bounds before a chorus of cheers and boos erupted from the animated crowd. Words flashed on the screen.

"Player 2 wins!" cried the infuriatingly cheery voice. You fell to your knees, whimpering in defeat.

"Oh -"

"- shit, my balls."
