I hate to bump down Sally's wonderful news, but there are a couple of announcements that need to be made.

The theme of the month is Never Featured Authors.
150 Bottled Fairies by Rosebud (Legend of Zelda, 17+)
A Kunoichi at Heart by Chloryl (Naruto, 13+)
All You Are To Me by Suki-chan (Bleach, 17+)
Cracks Under the Surface by ElleBelle (Harry Potter, 13+)
Finding Common Ground by crazed pyschopath (Yu Yu Hakusho, 17+)
Spoiled Kids Next Door by Paper_Bullets (Ouran High School Host Club, 13+)

Congratulations to all of you. Next month, we'll be featuring The Best of 2013. Nominations are here.

There is an anonymous fic trade going on in December. Signups are on the forum and will be open until December 10th.

The queue is open again, and Sally is working on donor usergroups.

Just a reminder, if you use an adblocker, please go into the settings and disable it for (Yes, most adblockers will allow you to disable them for just one site.) The content of the ads themselves is safe for work, and they shouldn't cause any problems on slower computers or internet connections. They don't make any noise or pop up. Most of the people who advertise on this site are people with serial stories or webcomics or they're independent artisans, and the ad revenue helps keep the site running. If you would like more information about the ad service we use, it's Project Wonderful.

Edit by Kerrigan Sheehan: The moderators are experiencing a display issue with the queue that makes it look like your submissions are giant walls of text, even when they aren't. A few stories were wrongly denied for formatting errors before we figured out what was going on. If your story was denied in the past few days for formatting errors (and no other reason), but you think that the formatting was fine, please feel free to resubmit it as it was.

We're leaving the queue open, despite the issue, but it takes us a little longer per story with this issue. Otherwise, it shouldn't really affect users because it's purely a behind-the-scenes error. An email has been sent to Sally about this already.

Wow, announcments are back. I could cry! Congratulations everyone~! (Where'd you make that avatar at in your pic girl, she's cute!)

ReinAbel - here, but you need to use the color chooser to get the unnatural skintone.
- Kerrigan Sheehan on 12/04/13 - 05:29PM
Thanks so much!

Ah, this was such a lovely surprise to see after a long day at school! Thank you so much, Cloudy Luminosity~ *huggles and squeezes to death* Congrats everyone else for the feature, and I'm so glad the announcements are back~! :D
- Chloryl on 12/05/13 - 06:56PM
Concerning the formatting issues, I have paragraphs that appear out of place within stories (like, the last paragraph is somewhere in the middle). I've checked the HTML coding without noticing any mistakes -- in any case, the change was recent and occurred without my modifying anything. Is this linked to the recurrent issue on the site?
- IMNight on 12/07/13 - 04:03PM
Oh my goodness, I had no idea. Thank you so much!!! Elle Belle, we were nominated together!!!! So glad that Luna is back!
- Suki-chan on 12/07/13 - 04:52PM
IMNight - Could you email me a link to the affected story? It's not the same issue, but it's worth investigating, as it could be a different bug. I'm assuming you've tried clearing your cache, deleting your cookies, and restarting your browser (or have at least tested it on different devices). Have you tried editing the affected chapter by removing the text, putting it back in again, and saving it?

The issue the moderators are having should only be affecting us because it's related to the actual bar we have on story validation pages in the queue.
- Kerrigan Sheehan on 12/08/13 - 02:42AM
Is that why my story hasn't been validated in over a month? Resubmitted it a couple of days ago thinking you guys just skipped over it or somethin'... glad to see it was probably because the formatting was screwed up for no reason, :p.
- 9thDimen on 12/09/13 - 02:19AM
9thDimen - The reason your story hasn't been validated in over a month is because the queue was closed at the end of October when Sally announced that the site would be closing, so the mods couldn't get to the queue to validate anything until the end of November, when Sally decided to give the site one more shot. Naturally, nobody else's stories got looked at during that time, either. We're working through the backup bit by bit, so please be patient. Your story will get its attention in due course.
- perfect-to-stay on 12/09/13 - 11:42AM
Well, actually I submitted my story on 10/08, the day I joined, so technically speaking it's been two months and roughly two weeks before Sally made her notice... But I'm also aware a week before sally's announcement the site went down for a whole week so nothing could have been done with my story, :p. I wasn't worried in the least; not in any hurry I was just making lazy assumptions and decided to shrug my shoulders and resubmit, hehe.
- 9thDimen on 12/09/13 - 12:38PM
9thDimen - Actually, removing a story that has been sitting in the queue and resubmitting it with no changes lowers your chances of getting it seen quickly, since the oldest stories sit at the top. We don't go in order, but removing and resubmitting just bumps you down to the bottom of the page. It's also not unusual for things to sit two or three weeks before validation, especially around the holidays and during the summer, because the queue is busier. Especially at this time of year, moderators tend to have a lot of work and family commitments. We usually empty the entire queue in January as a result.
- Kerrigan Sheehan on 12/09/13 - 10:20PM
I am so flattered! Thank you!
- Rosebud on 12/10/13 - 01:02AM
Kerrigan Sheehan - Haha, yeah, I kind of figured that out after reading this post. Wished I checked the homepage more often.
- 9thDimen on 12/10/13 - 02:07AM
I'm not sure where I would post this comment, but I have donated for this month and I remember that a request was made for us to clarify which email we wanted the Donor status to be applied to- the same for my account works just fine. :)

Happy Holidays everyone!
- Hikari Renge on 12/17/13 - 10:45AM
Hikari Renge - That belongs on PayPal. There should be a note line somewhere in the donor form. It's for people who use different email addresses for PayPal and Luna. I'm also not sure how far along Sally is with the donor status. The moderators were told we'd see a clear indication in the queue of who was and wasn't a donor so we would be able to prioritize submissions by donors, but it doesn't look like there's such an indication yet.
- Kerrigan Sheehan on 12/17/13 - 11:26AM
Oh, good heavens! On the day I decide to log on, I discover that one of my stories have been nominated. This is such an excited feeling! Thanks a ton!
- crazed psychopath on 12/19/13 - 08:27PM
Oh my goodness, I love 150 Bottled Fairies!! I am, dare I say, a bit jealous of Rose Bud's writing ability! I'm so glad she has finally been featured.
